United Arts Council of Raleigh and Wake County has made $111,223 available to 122 Wake County schools to bring in teaching artists during the 2017/18 school year for performances, workshops, and residencies that integrate the arts with core subjects.
GreenHill received $5,000 from PNC to continue to expand the reach of free Family Night. Family Night is a program offered each Wednesday from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. where families are able to participate in all of the activities provided during GreenHill’s open studio hours free of charge.
The Z. Smith Reynolds Foundation is providing $100,000 to organizations across the state in response to the end of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA).

The inaugural Carry the Water 5K, Fun Run, and One-Mile Walk took place on September 23rd at the Dorothea Dix Park in Raleigh. All of the proceeds from the event benefited Global Hope India and Dynamic Water’s clean water projects in India.

The Power of the Dream will hold an upcoming workshop for adults with autism and/or intellectual disabilities and those who work with adults with autism and/or developmental disabilities on September 30th at the Cameron Village Regional Library in Raleigh.
St. Augustine’s University and the City of Raleigh’s Office of Raleigh Arts will sponsor the “ENVISION Saint Agnes” art exhibit from September 27th-January 5th, 2018. Thirty percent of all exhibition sales will go toward creating a student designed public artwork that acknowledges St. Agnes Hospital.
