The United Arts Council of Raleigh and Wake County awarded more than $18,000 in grants from its Regional Artist Project Grant to individual artists in Wake County.
The Northern Albemarle Community Foundation awarded $111,000 in local grants from the HCWGMW Fund in Elizabeth City to organizations serving the poor and youth-related needs in Pasquotank, Perquimans, Camden and Gates counties.
TXG Capital have named Carmaletta Hinson as the winner of their annual eco scholarship. Hinson graduated from Kenston High School and will be attending Case Western Reserve University located in Cleveland, Ohio in the fall.
