Duke Forward concluded by surpassing it’s goal and raising $3.85 billion over the past seven years, thanks to gift from over 315,000 donors and foundations.

The Jane Graham McKay and Katherine Hill McKay Endowment announced $20,000 in scholarship awards to seven local students and a $25,000 grant to the Scotland County Humane Society on August 10th. 

Carolina For The Kids of Chapel Hill gave 17 grants totaling $70,755 to advance programs, services and other hospital-based initiatives to support the care and specific patient-related needs for patients and families of UNC Children’s Hospital.

The Winston-Salem Foundation awarded 23 Community Grants totaling $467,632 to organizations of various program areas in Forsyth County on August 10th.

The United Arts Council of Raleigh and Wake County hosted the annual Cultural Arts Booking Fair on August 12th at Wakefield High School.

ArtsGreensboro celebrated Good Works Wednesday at Natty Greene’s on August 9th. 

Kroger partnered with Food Bank of Central & Eastern NC with the Fill the Bus Food Drive to benefit Durham Rescue Mission on August 12th.

Now through August 31st, RomanticAsheville.com is matching every gift designated for repairs to Craggy Flats Bald Trail and new exhibits at the Visitor Center until the goal of $5,497 is reached.
