JPMorgan Chase & Co. donated $175,000 to support Baltimore YouthWorks summer youth employment. With the grant, 8,000 Baltimore young people between the ages of 14-21 seeking summer jobs will work this summer.
Balfour Beatty Communities Foundation awarded 50 college scholarships for the 2016/2017 academic year to residents of properties owned and managed by Balfour Beatty Communities, LLC. Scholarship recipients were selected on the basis of demonstrated leadership qualities and a drive toward bettering their community.
The Rite Aid Foundation donated $50,000 to the American Red Cross West Virginia Region to help the victims, families and communities affected by recent flooding.
AmeriCares is sending medicine, first aid supplies and safe drinking water for families affected by the flooding in West Virginia.
UnitedHealthcare and Optum, are taking action to help those in West Virginia and Virginia affected by the recent flooding. This includes assisting health plan participants or access to early prescription refills, and a free emotional-support line to help people in affected communities.
The Walmart Foundation will provide support through cash and in-kind donations of $250,000 to organizations helping with relief efforts for those affected by the floods in West Virginia.
EQT made a $50,000 donation to the West Virginia Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster. Mountain Valley Pipeline is making an additional $25,000 contribution.
