Miranda Lambert’s MuttNation Foundation held a Fill The Little Red Wagon activation throughout her recent 24-city U.S. tour. Fans provided dog food, supplies, toys, treats and cash to be donated to a pre-selected shelter in their city.
More than 62,000 charities received a record-breaking total $1 billion across more than 221,000 donor-recommended grants made by Fidelity Charitable so far in 2018. The $1 billion in grants represents a 42 percent increase in dollars granted compared to the same period in 2017.
The Otto Bremer Trust awarded 119 grants totaling $7,456,601 to organizations across the Upper Midwest as part of its most recent grantmaking cycle.
Subaru of America, Inc. donated $21.8 million to national and local charities as part of the 2017 Share the Love event. This year’s donations, along with a match of more than $2 million from Subaru retailers, brings the grand total amount donated throughout the life of the program to more than $118 million, exceeding the $115 million total estimate predicted at the launch of the 2017 Share the Love event.
The Max M. & Marjorie S. Fisher Foundation granted a total of $425,000 to the following organizations: Jewish Federation of North America, InsideOut Literary Arts Project, Michigan Opera Theatre, and LiveCoal Gallery.

Vikki Spruill, current leader of the Council on Foundations and former head of Ocean Conservancy, has been appointed President & CEO of the New England Aquarium. She will start her new role on July 30.

SCI-Arc will hold MAIN EVENT 14 on Saturday, April 28th, at its Downtown Los Angeles Art District campus. This year’s MAIN EVENT celebration will include a VIP Dinner hosted by the SCI-Arc Board of Trustees honoring Frances Anderton Executive Producer and Host of DnA: Design and Architecture, a weekly radio show and blog exploring what matters in our designed world, broadcast on KCRW.
Riverzedge Arts will hold the Raise the Roof Block Party on April 26th to celebrate their participants, staff, and community, as well as their generous supporters, notably the Rhode Island State Council on the Arts, the Champlin Foundation, and the June Rockwell Levy Foundation.
On May 4th, Pulse Center for Patient Safety Education and Advocacy will hold a free Spring Patient Safety Education Symposium.
