250 schools, 2,500 teachers, and 25,000 students with a total of 250,000 people in communities will be engaged in The Non-Violence Project Foundation educational project in Uganda, thanks to the financial support from the City and the Canton of Geneva in Switzerland. The 3-year project is an outreach to stem the escalation of youth violence in the country, which has increased partly due to lack of knowledge on how to solve conflicts peacefully and to the high rate of youth unemployment.

Jewish Funders Network awarded the 2018 Shapiro Prize for Excellence in Philanthropic Collaboration to the Social Venture Fund for Jewish-Arab Equality and Shared Society on 13 March, in a ceremony at JFN’s annual conference in Tel Aviv. The release is intended to be the first of many, ensuring the future survival of the species.
