The Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas and First National Bank of Louisiana gave a $16,000 Partnership Grant Program to ETCE: Empowering the Community for Excellence

Sallie Mae gave $5,000 to support the Easterseals Delaware & Maryland’s Eastern Shore Annual Volleyball Challenge.

Wipro Limited partnered with First Book on March 4th to distribute 43,000 books for children in need. The American Federation of Teachers and Alliance/AFT were partners in distributing locally. 

The third annual Napa in Newport wine auction raised $1 million to help CureDuchenne find a cure for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. 

Tribune Specialty Trailers donated a mobile science laboratory to the MdBio Foundation Inc

Wells Fargo & Company donated $281.3 million to 14,900 nonprofits in 2016 while its team members donated a total of $98.87 million to 30,000 nonprofits 

Delta Dental gifted $1.5 million to help dental hygiene programs offered by the Colorado Community College System

The Ovation Foundation at an awards ceremony and luncheon in Downtown Los Angeles on March 10th awarded grants worth $20,000 each to Juxtaposition Arts, New Orleans Video Access Center, Project H Design, Storefront for Community Design, and WriteGirl. 

The VWR Foundation distributed 16 grants which total over $129,000 in the first quarter of 2017. 

Michael Treviño and two community partners pledged $32,000 in matching funds to battle student hunger issues at Fresno State through the March Match Up campaign.

The Ralph C. Wilson Jr. Foundation added Kimberly Faison, Susan Dundon, Malia Xie, Carly Strachan, Avery Eenigenburg, Ebony Annette Jones, Amy Partridge, and Donna Salive to its staff. 

Debbie’s Dream Foundation held its eight annual Night of Laughter on January 28th in support of Stomach Awareness at Hollywood, Florida. 

Oliver Scholars held a career day on March 18th to teach scholars  a variety of skills that will help them to better understand the job market.

Leading Edge released a report highlighting key areas of opportunity that will enable the Jewish community to attract and retain top talent.

The Giving Innovation Summit by Urban Institute will take place on March 23rd in Washington, DC.
Riding Up Front launched the RUF Art Blog Project featuring stories from Uber, Lyft, and Taxi drivers and passengers. The project aims to expand immigrant rights awareness.  

Sam’s Club launched the “Meals From Members” campaign to support Feeding America from February 28th to March 31st. 
 
The Knight Foundation, Democracy Fund, and Rita Allen Foundation are partnering on an open call for ideas regarding misinformation and trust in journalism. The organizations are offering a share of $1 million for early-stage ideas; applications are due April 3rd. 
 
Aetna Foundation opened their  Cultivating Healthy Communities grant program. The Foundation encourages community-based nonprofits who are creating solutions that address social determinants of health to apply.
