The Luc Maurice Foundation will distribute $10 million over the next five years to support organizations, individuals, and causes that contribute to the well-being and foster the growth of Québec’s elderly.

Global Subway’s World Sandwich Day program donated a total of 13.3 million meals to hunger-relief charities around the world. 

HLB International raised over 8,600 euros for the Malta Community Chest Fund Foundation to help the nonprofit improve the health, quality of life, and well being of people in their time of need.

Nestlé Purina PetCare Canada will grant $30,000 to the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) to study the benefits of animal-assisted therapy. It will also match up to $10,000 in donations made to CAMH’s Gifts of Light program.

The Australian Wildlife Conservancy (AWC) is preparing to undertake an emergency translocation of a colony of Mala, one of Australia’s rarest mammals, to a secure refuge at AWC’s Newhaven Wildlife Sanctuary.
