On November 3rd, Toyota and VH1 Save The Music awarded $10,000 each in Keys + Kids grants to John Spry Community, Goudy Technology Academy, and Daniel Boone Elementary to provide musical instruments and equipment to each school.
Le-Vel Brands, LLC donated $255,000 to the National Breast Cancer Foundation from the proceeds of its limited-edition National Breast Cancer Foundation Derma Fusion Technology, of which $5 from every purchase in October was earmarked for the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
The inaugural Don Tyson Prize was presented to the Archives of American Art (AAA), Smithsonian Institution, by Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art at a private luncheon in Washington, D.C. on October 2nd. AAA Director Kate Haw was presented with the $200,000 prize and award designed by Troy Anderson.
The Nonprofit Coordinating Committee of New York will award the three winners of the 2016 New York Community Trust Nonprofit Excellence Awards, a total of $60,000 and scholarships for the Columbia Business School Executive Education Programs in Social Enterprise. The winners are Jewish Board of Family and Children’s Services, Neighbors Link, and Per Scholas who will be honored for their management excellence at the Awards Presentation to be held on December 2nd at the New York Academy of Medicine.
