8.29.16 Toyota_revisedToyota donated $1,000,000 to help fund New Yellowstone Youth Campus. The new campus will feature immersive youth programming in the park. 

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. donated $25,000 to the American Red Cross in response to the flooding in Baton Rouge and surrounding parishes in Louisiana.

The Office Depot Foundation is working with Feed the Children to sponsor the delivery of three truckloads of supplies for distribution in the communities affected by flooding in southeastern Louisiana.

Helen Diller Family Foundation donated $36,000 each to 14 teen entrepreneurs as part of the 2016 Diller Teen Tikkun Olam Award in recognition of their exceptional leadership and commitment to social good. 

Chicago Beyond named The Dovetail Project, Storycatchers Theater and Genesys Works Chicago as the winners of its first-ever innovation challenge. The organizations will receive investments that total nearly $3 million. 

8.29.16 NoticeAbility_RevisedThe NoticeAbility 2016 Bicoastal Aquathon Team raised over $135,000 during its 26.2 mile ocean quest on August 7th. 

Puentes New Orleans and The Urban Conservancy received $20,000 in partnership grants from the Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas and member institution IBERIABANK.   

A shuttered elementary school will be renovated into a hub of early childhood education services in Flint, Michigan with funding from the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation and J.B. and M.K. Pritzker Family Foundation.

In the second quarter of 2016, Rasmuson Foundation made 51 Tier 1 awards for a total of $1,030,771.

Cycle of Hope will welcome 15 women to a weekend at Camp Discovery, a camp for women who are full-time wheelchair users.

USTA Foundation, the national charitable organization of the United States Tennis Association, announced the 10 winners of the 18th annual NJTL Arthur Ashe Essay Contest.

New York Life will donate $100,000 to aid flood relief efforts in Louisiana with a $50,000 donation to the American Red Cross, a $25,000 donation to Baton Rouge Area Foundation Flood Relief Fund and $25,000 to the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank.

The Smithsonian’s National Museum of African American History and Culture received five $2 million sponsorships from founding donors Bank of America, Kaiser Permanente, Prudential Financial Inc., Target and Toyota to support the museum’s grand-opening celebrations and inaugural events in September.

Mark Zuckerberg sold almost $94.9 million worth of his Facebook stock to provide the first installment to fund the Chan-Zuckerberg Initiative.

The Council of New Jersey Grantmakers and the City of Newark appointed Kevin Callaghan as the Council’s new Philanthropic Liaison to the City of Newark.

The San Francisco Foundation named Gail Fuller Vice President of Marketing and Strategic Communications. 

The Zakat Foundation of America launched a worldwide poverty relief program for the Islamic holiday of Eid al-Adha, delivering food to remote and impoverished communities around the world. 

In recognition of September as National Prostate Cancer Awareness Month, Henry Schein, Inc. has partnered with the Integrated Medical Foundation and the Large Urology Group Practice Association to raise awareness of prostate cancer amid new evidence about the importance of early detection.

For the 12-month period ending in June, the nonprofit Independent Living Partnership provided nearly 120,000 free rides to residents of Riverside, Calif  to see their doctors, shop for groceries or participate in social and community events.

8.29.16 Global Center for Social Entrepreneurship_revisedThe Global Center for Social Entrepreneurship Network hosted author, philanthropist, and lead sponsor Sheri Sobrato Brisson at its newly operational Venturator.

On August 25th, Creative Sippin hosted the Pink Ribbon Event. Part of the proceeds from the event benefited the Little Company of Mary Comprehensive Breast Health Center.

On August 19th, the onePULSE Foundation hosted a benefit at NeueHouse in Hollywood, CA to help those affected by the Pulse nightclub shooting in Orlando on June 12th.

The Foundation Fighting Blindness has launched their #HowEyeSeeIt Campaign to raise awareness and accelerate research funding for retinal degenerative diseases.

Project Waterfall will host the New York Coffee Festival on September 16th-18th in Manhattan. 

Members of the media are invited to take a tour of the Chanda Plan Foundation Patient Centered Medical Home for people with long-term physical disabilities which will open in Lakewood, Colorado, February 2017.

On International Literacy Day on September 8th, Pizza Hut, in partnership with First Book, will launch The Literacy Project to provide resources, including eBooks and other digital tools to children in underserved communities around the globe.

The Indiana State Museum will host their third annual Hoosier-themed cocktail party to celebrate their Bicentennial Birthday. Attendees will gain free access to the museum’s bicentennial exhibitions 200 Years of Indiana Art and A Cultural Legacy and Indiana in 200 Objects: A Bicentennial Celebration.

On September 28th, Ladies America is partnering with Peace for People to support and develop women entrepreneurship through the Bamboo industry by taking door donations and selling exclusive scores at L2 Lounge.
