College Spark Washington is providing $1.3 million in Community Grants for projects focusing on building the effectiveness of grantees working with low-income students in middle school, high school and college by funding new and promising practices that help students become college-ready and transition successfully to college.

Wells Fargo & Company invested $67 billion in lending capital and grants during 2016 toward achieving its 2020 Corporate Social Responsibility goals to help create solutions to address global challenges and strengthen communities. 

UnitedHealthcare invested $12 million in PATH Metro Villas in California to help provide permanent homes to individuals and families who have been suffering from homelessness or struggling to find affordable housing. 

PPG and the PPG Foundation provided nearly $10 million in financial support for global charitable activities through their 2016 community engagement initiatives.

The students will team with Accenture to provide pro-bono management consulting for USA for UNHCR, the U.S. based nonprofit dedicated to raising funds and awareness for refugees and for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).

Heather Anichini, CEO of The Chicago Public Education Fund, will be honored with the Young Alumna of the Year Award from Marquette University’s J. William and Mary Diederich College of Communication and the Marquette University Alumni Association in a ceremony on Saturday, April 29.

The Community Chest of Englewood will host The Young People’s Chorus to perform a program of inspirational songs at the 2017 Annual Spring Gathering on Wednesday, May 3rd.

Megan’s House, a long-term residential treatment home for young women recovering from addiction, launched a raffle for a new home in Dracut, Massachusetts to raise funds and awareness with the goal of reaching $500,000 by June 14th.
