The Helmsley Charitable Trust awarded a $4.75M grant to the Hadassah Medical Organization in Israel on September 12th to expand its Pediatric Bone Marrow Transplant Unit.

Mr. Kyaw Hla Aung announced the selection of three international organisations providing medical aid and assistance to Rohingya refugees across South East Asia to share a $1,000,000 grant: Médecins Sans Frontieres, the International Catholic Migration Commission, and MERCY Malaysia on September 3rd.

Larry V. HEDGES has been awarded the Yidan Prize for Education Research for his ground-breaking statistical methods for meta-analysis, while Anant AGARWAL has been granted the Yidan Prize for Education Development for making education more accessible to people around the world via the innovative edX open-source online platform. In recognition and support of their groundbreaking work, each of the laureates will receive HK$30 million.
