The first annual Create Good Conference took place on March 16th in Raleigh. This event for nonprofit communication professionals, the first of its kind in the country, was sponsored in part by the Burroughs Wellcome Fund.

The Ability Experience has named Basil Lyberg as its new chief executive officer. He will oversee operations for the national nonprofit that uses shared experiences to support people with disabilities and develop the men of Pi Kappa Phi into servant leaders.

Dr. Charles “Chuck” Davis was presented with the Durham Arts Council’s Ella Fountain Pratt Award for Lifetime Achievement in the Arts on Friday evening, March 13, at the 31st Annual Emerging Artists Awards Ceremony. Click here for more.

The National Association of Realtors (NAR) awarded the Charlotte Regional Realtor Association with a Community Outreach award at the annual NAR AEI Conference held in Vancouver, Canada.  The association was recognized for the outstanding work done within the region through its charitable-arm, the Housing Opportunity Foundation, which is celebrating 30 years of service this year.
